I headed out for a ride hitting some St. Germain, Eagle River and Sayner trails. I also rode all day yesterday hitting Sayner, Boulder Junction, Arbor Vitae/Woodruff and St. Germain trails. The trails I rode had been groomed recently and were overall smooth with a few bumps. There were a few trails that were bumpy, especially in corners.  Hit a few trails that were awful and wanted to turn around and park the sled. Then you hit some more trails that were great and you could ride them all day. It’s a mixed bag out there – from all white with good snow to areas that really need more snow and are thin on snow plus brown from snirt.  There are lots of icy areas  – especially corners so please slow down. The insides of some corners are thin on snow and showing a little bare ground so carbides will scrape. It’s March and trails are holding so far but could use more snow. It’s sunny today so there is going to be more melting. Plowed road trails and areas where the sun hits are getting bare. I’d give an overall trail rating as fair/good but you’ll see anywhere from some poor areas up to some excellent spots.

Plowed road trails suck. Carbides scrape almost constantly on them.
