I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner, Eagle River and St. Germain trails. The Eagle River and Sayner trails I rode had been groomed and were mostly smooth but there are areas groomers weren’t able to completely flatten out the bumps. The St. Germain trails I rode hadn’t been groomed. They were mostly smooth with some small bumps in areas. It’s a mixed bag of conditions out there. Some trails are beautiful being all white with good snow cover while others are all brown from snirt and are thin on snow. You’ll find some corners have snow on them but others are thin on snow and icy. Your carbides will scrape in areas – mainly on the insides of corners. Groomers are doing what they can and I’ve seen lots of areas where they are trying to go a little wider to bring more snow onto the trails. We really could use some new snow – especially some heavy, wet snow.

Plowed road trails suck. Carbides scrape constantly on them.
