The news we’ve been waiting for has finally been released – the opening date for the trails. Unfortunately, we still have to wait another week… Trails in Vilas county officially open at 8am on Friday, December 20th. We’ve had 26 inches of snow since November 26th and it’s snowing again today. Clubs have been out panning and grooming the trails in preparation for opening. The trails we can see look absolutely pristine! The worst part is we can’t ride them yet! So, if you were hoping to come up in the next week to ride, you’ll have to go farther north (Iron county in WI or the UP) as our trails aren’t open…
