After a weekend of very heavy traffic I headed out for a ride to see how trails held up hitting some St. Germain, Eagle River and Sayner ones. All trails I rode had been groomed but with more night riders, some didn’t look like a groomer was on them. Most trails I rode were pretty smooth but there were bumpy areas. Corners are becoming a concern as quite a few are pushed out making them icy. Some are getting thin on snow as my carbides did scrape on the insides of a few. You will see some areas brown from snirt – mainly town trails and very heavily travelled corridor trails. That being said, there are still lots of good to excellent trails.
Plowed road trails are starting to wear down. Some have a decent base while others are thin and carbides will scrape.
