We both headed out for rides in different directions hitting some St. Germain, Lake Tomahawk, Sayner, Arbor Vitae, Boulder Junction and Sugar Camp trails. All trails except about half the Sugar Camp trails were groomed. With temps in the teens, groomed trails were packed in tight, smooth and just a blast to ride. The ones in Sugar Camp that weren’t groomed ranged from mostly smooth to getting some bumps. There were trails that were so nice you wanted to turn around and ride them again. You will find trails which have snirt and are brown, are icy and areas thin on snow with a few bare spots. Carbides will scrape in areas. Be very careful as some trails are very icy, especially in corners.

Plowed road trails are a mixed bag. Where the ice base didn’t melt they are fine. Where they melted to bare pavement, carbides will scrape a lot.
