We got about an inch and a half of snow last night. I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner,  Eagle River, Conover and St. Germain trails.  Most of the trails I rode were groomed.  Sayner groomed some of their trails but not others. The groomed trails were smooth overall with some bumps.Trails were softer this morning with the warmer temps.  I’m going with an overall fair rating. Conditions vary from some poor areas, lots of fair and good areas and then some very good. Corners are getting pushed out making them icy and/or thin on snow on the inside. Carbides were scraping today, especially on insides of corners and on plowed road trails. You’ll see trails that are brownish in color from the snirt on them. Then you will find areas that are white with good snow and really nice.

Plowed road trails have been scraped down and a lot of them are plowed to the tree line. The carbides will scrape more and it’s hard to get on the banks.

Lakes are decent overall but some slush did come up during the warm up Friday and Saturday. There are some frozen ruts in spots.

The town trails, heavily traveled corridor trails, and tight twisty trails will be more in the poor to fair range. The more you can avoid these the better riding you should find.

Note: Pictures will appear whiter than they are with the new snow.
