We finally got some snow! Between Friday night and Saturday we got about 6 inches and then had another half inch this morning. I headed out for a ride hitting some Lake Tomahawk and St. Germain trails. The trails I rode had been groomed. Overall trails were fairly smooth with some bumps the groomers weren’t able to flatten out or fill in completely. This new snow did help trails but you’ll still find that conditions vary quite a bit. There’s some good stretches with plenty of snow, are all white and fun to ride. I’d still say majority are fair with snirt, pushed out corners and carbides scraping in places. Despite the snow there’s poor areas that have minimal snow cover so carbides scrape a lot. Majority of corners are pushed out with the insides all ice or thin on snow. Traffic is very heavy this weekend so trails are getting beat up. It’s suppose to get cold so with that and some grooming, expect trails to improve as the week goes on. Road trails don’t have much of a base and your carbides will scrape a lot.

Lakes are starting to get bumpy.

While this snow did help, I’m still rating trails overall in fair condition. Some wet, heavy snow would be great…

Note: In some pictures trails will look whiter than they are due to the light snow we had.
