The weather has taken a downturn as I woke up to light rain this morning. I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner, Eagle River and St. Germain trails. The Sayner and St. Germain trails I rode had been groomed. The Eagle River trail I rode hadn’t been groomed, was getting bumpy and lots of corners were pushed  out and icy with some bare spots.  The groomed trails were smooth. Trails were soft and mushy with the warmer temps and rain. Some trails are mostly white while more areas are getting brown from snirt. There was some bare ground showing on some trails. Some corners were pushed out and icy and more are getting thin on snow, while others have plenty of snow. My carbides did scrape more today. Plowed road trails range from having a good ice base to some that are getting worn down and your carbides will scrape on them. I’d rate the trails I rode as fair with good areas and some with poor areas.

Lakes are improving but there are still some pretty nasty areas with frozen ruts where sleds broke through the slushy areas and it froze up.
