We are 47 and sunny today and yesterday got up into the upper 30s with sun. Lots of melting up here. I rode all day yesterday hitting Sayner, Arbor Vitae, Boulder Junction and St. Germain trails. I have to say what a turn from Saturday to Sunday. More trails are all brown with puddles and bare ground showing. Some trails were all moguls and very bumpy. Some were just light brown and snirty. Most corners were icy with little snow and lots had bare spots. Road crossings had puddles and bare ground. Did find some that were smooth and all white. The problem is getting to the good ones is difficult. You’ll have to ride on several poor trails to get to them. Road trails are getting bare.
Lakes are getting get bumpy.
I’m rating trails overall in poor to fair condition. But with the warm up this week, not sure if trails many trails will hold up. Some wet, heavy snow and colder temps would be great…
Unfortunately, my sled is parked until we get more snow.
