Last night we had a dusting of snow and this morning there’s been freezing mist. I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner, St. Germain, Eagle River and Sugar Camp trails. The Sugar Camp and Sayner trails I rode had been groomed. Most of the St. Germain trails I rode were groomed. The Eagle River trail I rode hadn’t been groomed, was getting bumpy so turned around and went a different way. The groomed trails were smooth and with temps in the teens, packed in nice. Lots of trails were mostly white while some areas are getting brown from snirt. Some corners were pushed out and icy and some are getting thin on snow, while others have plenty of snow. My carbides did scrape on the inside of some corners. I found some stretches that were beautiful and a blast to ride. Plowed road trails range from having a good ice base to some that are getting worn down and your carbides will scrape on them. I’d rate the trails I rode as good with very good areas and some with fair areas.

Lakes are improving but there are still some pretty nasty areas with frozen ruts where sleds broke through the slushy areas and it froze up.
