Another dusting of snow last night – maybe an eighth of an inch. Then a little sleet and this morning has been drizzling and misting. I headed out for a ride hitting some Eagle River, Sayner, Lake Tomahawk and St. Germain trails. The St. Germain and Eagle River trails I rode had been groomed. Lake Tomahawk and Sayner had groomed some of their trails but not others. The groomed trails were smooth with a few bumps here and there that the groomer wasn’t able to flatten out. Both the groomed and ungroomed Lake Tomahawk trails I rode were pretty smooth with a few small bumps in spots. The Sayner trails I rode that hadn’t  been groomed ranged from fairly smooth to really bumpy and couldn’t wait to get off it. What I rode today I’d rate as fair to excellent. Trails had a soft feel to them and I was pushing in some corners. The carbides scraped on some corners. Some trails are brown from snirt.

Plowed road trails range from having a decent base with little scraping to areas that are getting thin with the carbides scraping quite a bit.

The lakes I’ve ridden lately are in nice condition. However, be on the lookout for ruts or bumpy areas.

Just a reminder… STOP signs are put up for a reason. Whether you ride fast, slow or in-between, not acknowledging them is just plain stupid and is a good way to get in an accident or get a trail closed.
