I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner, Eagle River and St. Germain trails. All the trails I rode had been groomed. With the grooming and cold temps, they were smooth, packed in tight and just beautiful. Conditions were so good I wanted to keep riding all day. The only complain I had was the carbides did scrape on some corners. Otherwise, they were sweet. There are some trails that are brownish from snirt but no big deal. Plowed road trails range from having a decent base with little scraping to areas that are getting thin with the carbides scraping quite a bit.
The wind has blown the light snow we’ve had and lakes are getting smoother from the snow drifting into ruts or between bumps.
Just a reminder… STOP signs are put up for a reason. Whether you ride fast, slow or in-between, not acknowledging them is just plain stupid and is a good way to get a trail closed.
