We received another 4 1/2 inches of snow yesterday so we got a total of 6 inches out of the “Big” winter storm warning from Monday into Tuesday. I headed out for a ride hitting some St. Germain, Eagle River and Sayner trails. St. Germain and Eagle River groomed and most of their trails were smooth with some bumps. Some of the straight stretches were really nice. Carbides still scraped in some corners. Most had snow on them but as more sleds go through, more will get pushed out and icy. Trails were soft with the new snow. It will take another grooming or 2 to get the snow packed down better. I hit one Sayner trail that still hadn’t been groomed since Saturday. This trail was bumpy and corners were icy. The fresh snow helped but it needs to be groomed. This snow definitely helped the trails but we could really use some more.

Plowed road trails suck. Carbides scrape almost constantly on them.

Note: In the pics, some trails will look whiter than they are due to the recent snow.
