We picked up 2 inches of snow yesterday so our total snowfall from Sunday night to this morning is 3 inches. We both headed out for rides hitting some St. Germain, Eagle River, Sugar Camp, Woodruff/Arbor Vitae, boulder Junction, Lake Tomahawk and Sayner trails. The St. Germain, Sayner and Boulder Junciton trails I rode were groomed. Sugar Camp and Woodruff/Arbor Vitae had groomed some of their trails but not others. The Lake Tomahawk and Eagle River trails I rode hadn’t been groomed. Trails that were groomed were smooth overall with some bumps in spots. The trails that hadn’t been groomed had some bumps but weren’t too bad. I’m giving trails an overall fair to good rating. More trails are in the good category. I found some that were very good to excellent too. Then there were fair areas. You’ll see snirt and majority of trails have a brownish tint. The carbides were scraping – mainly on the insides of corners and on some plowed road trails. Watch out for corners. There are some that are icy and/or thin on snow so you’ll push right through.

Trails could use some more snow to get the fair areas to good. Conditions are the best we’ve seen this season and the groomers are doing a good job with the snow we have.

Note: In the pictures some trails will look whiter than they are due to the fresh snow.
