Trails have held up so far with the warm up we are  having. I headed out for a ride hitting some St. Germain and Sayner trails. St. Germain groomed last night and Sayner had recently groomed. Overall trails were pretty smooth. There was some chop but not enough to complain about. There were a few big “dip” bumps that are nasty. There were some areas where the ground under the snow is rutted or uneven which led to a few bumps but these should be smoothed out with another grooming or two. Trails had a softer feel to them with the warmer weather we’ve been having. Most corners have plenty of snow on them.

Plowed road trails are showing some melting and you will find bare spots where your carbides will scrape.

Big St. Germain Lake is marked. I haven’t heard of any other lakes that are marked yet. Stay off them until they are marked. There is a lot of slush on lakes.

Riding is good right now but with the lakes not being safe yet, you’ll have to choose your route a little more carefully. It’s been a while since we had so much snow early in the season so get out and ride.
