We picked up about an inch of snow last night. I headed out for a ride hitting some St. Germain, Eagle River, Conover and Sayner trails. All the trails I rode have been groomed recently. They were smooth overall but still found some bumps leftover from the weekend and also where more snow is needed to fill in some ruts. I’m giving trails an overall fair to good rating. More trails are in the good category. I found some that were very good to excellent too. Then there were fair areas. You’ll see snirt and majority of trails have a brownish tint. The carbides were scraping – mainly on the insides of corners and on some plowed road trails. Watch out for corners. There are some that are icy and/or thin on snow so you’ll push right through.

It’s too bad we didn’t receive as much snow as predicted. Trails could use some more to get the fair areas to good. Conditions are the best we’ve seen this season and the groomers are doing a good job with the snow we have.

Note: In the pictures some trails will look whiter than they are due to the fresh snow.
