We both headed out for rides hitting some St. Germain, Eagle River, Conover, Sayner and Lake Tomahawk trails. St. Germain, Eagle River and Conover trails had been groomed last night. Some of the Lake Tomahawk and Sayner trails I rode had been groomed while others hadn’t and were getting bumpy. Trails definitely took a beating from the weekend traffic. Carbides were scraping a lot more on the trails. There are more areas where we lost the base and some bare ground is showing through. Some stretches were all nice and white and in good shape. Others are getting brown with snirt mixed in. There are some poor areas, too.  One area to be careful on is the corners. There are icy ones out there. We’re going to give most trails a fair to good overall rating. You will find more poor spots and a more fair areas than last week but there are still plenty of good to very good. We’ve been having some freezing mist this morning even though it’s only 24 degrees – wish it was flurries instead.

Lakes had a lot of drifting last week so they are bumpy from drifting snow and they have some bare ice showing through.

We could definitely use some more snow to help the trails out.
