We both headed out for rides this morning hitting some Sayner, Lake Tomahawk, Eagle River and St. Germain trails. Sayner, Eagle River and St. Germain trails were groomed last night. Lake Tomahawk had groomed some of the trails but not all of them. The groomed trails were good overall and smooth with some fair spots, mainly in corners. More snirt is coming up so trails were more brownish today. The ungroomed trails ranged from fair to good. There were some bumps but not enough to ruin a ride. These trails were softer and had some pushed out corners. Speaking of corners, there are some that are icy and/or thin on snow and you’ll push right through. My carbides did scrape in spots today. There will be lots of traffic on the trails today so trails are going to get beat up and bumpy and have icy, pushed out corners. These are the best conditions we’ve had so far this season…Let’s hope for some more snow to improve trails even more.
