The storm last night fizzled out and we only got about an inch of fluffy snow.

I headed out for my first ride this morning hitting Sayner, Eagle River and St. Germain trails. All had been groomed. I was surprised to find most trails pretty good. Most were all white and smooth. Corners had snow on them and didn’t scrape carbides much. There are some areas that are thin on snow and are getting brown. As more traffic goes through, trails will get bumpy and have more areas where you will scrape as they get thinner on snow. Town plowed road trails are not good, you will scrape a lot.

We’ve heard that some lakes have up to 12 inches of ice but stay off of them until they are marked. Lost Lake is marked.

Let’s hope for more snow…
