Trails are still closed.

Things were looking good. We received 16″ of snow between Dec 5-11. Add that to what we already had and it was looking like winter. Then earlier this week some warm temps hit. We did okay through the first 3 days but then 2 nights above freezing and a fourth day of very warm temps led to a major melt down – we lost about 90% of our snow. In addition to the warm temps we had very high winds so lots of trees came down meaning trails will need to be cleared again. Temps have cooled back down and things froze back up.

Lakes aren’t safe so stay off of them until they are marked.

It looks like we’ll be waiting a while for trails to open. Need cold weather and snow…
