I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner, Eagle River and St. Germain trails. Eagle River and St. Germain trails were groomed last night. Sayner had groomed recently and had some more bumps on them. The groomed trails were good overall and smooth with some fair spots, mainly in corners and more snirt is coming up so trails were more brownish today. The ungroomed trails ranged from fair to good. There were some bumps but not enough to ruin a ride. These trails were softer and had some pushed out corners. Speaking of corners, there are some that are icy and/or thin on snow and you’ll push right through. My carbides did scrape in spots today. As more traffic hits the trails there will be more scraping and trails will get bumpier. There is snirt on the trails – some have a fair amount while others have little to none. These are the best conditions we’ve had so far this season…Let’s hope for some more snow to improve trails even more.
