Snowmobile Trail Report for Wednesday, February 10, 2016

We both headed out for rides hitting some Sayner, Arbor Vitae, St. Germain, and Lake Tomahawk trails. St. Germain and Sayner groomed their trails. Lake Tomahawk had groomed some. Arbor Vitae groomed the day before so they were still pretty smooth. Trails were packed in solid with the colder temps last night. More corners had snow pulled back onto them but there are still ones that are pushed out and icy. I’m going with an overall fair to good rating. Watch for corners that are pushed out making them icy and/or thin on snow on the inside, especially as traffic increases. There is snirt coming through making some trails a brownish tint and others very brown. However, you’ll find areas that are all white and very nice. For the best conditions try to stay out of towns and off the main corridor trails.

Slush has become prevalent on most makes. Staying on the marked trails should make you avoid it but there might be some frozen ruts in spots.
