Snowmobile Trail Report for Thursday, February 18, 2016

I headed out for a ride hitting some Sayner, Boulder Junction, Arbor Vitae and St. Germain trails. Sayner and St. Germain had groomed and Arbor Vitae had groomed some of theirs I rode. Boulder Junction had groomed the day before so they were still pretty decent but had some bumps and more pushed out and icy corners. Majority of the groomed trails were pretty good and packed in. Some corners had plenty of snow pulled back onto them while others are thin on snow and icy and you’ll push right through them. There are areas that are all white that you want to ride all day and then you’ll find more that are snirty and brown and you scrape lots. I found some plowed road trails that are getting pretty bare. We did have melting yesterday with the sun out all day. I’m going to rate most trails in the fair to ok category with some poor areas and some really good ones. The grooming is helping to keep the trails in decent shape. Let’s hope for snow and not rain in the next couple days.
