Snowmobile Trail Report for Saturday, February 28, 2015

I went riding all day with resort guests  hitting some Sayner, Conover, Land O’ Lakes, Eagle River, Lake tomahawk, Arbor Vitae and St. Germain trails. All the trails I rode had been groomed but several were getting pretty bumpy with the heavy traffic today. Some corners were blown out and icy and the sun did come out for awhile this afternoon so some brown trails were getting muddy and had some bare spots.Overall, trails are still decent but did get beat up with the traffic this weekend. Plowed road trails did melt some today so expect more bare spots on them.

Most trails are in the fair to ok to good category with some very good ones and some poor spots. There are icy corners and some trails are thin on snow (mainly on the insides of corners) so the carbides will scrape. Other corners have good snow and are fine.  A fair number of the trails have at least some brownish tint from snirt including some that are pretty brown. There are also some stretches that are all white with good snow. Plowed road trails are getting thin.

We’re coming to the end of February and there is good riding out there. Come up and enjoy it as we never know how long the season will last.

Sorry no pics.
