Snowmobile Trail report for December 25, 2013

Merry Christmas! Woke up to 3 inches of fresh snow this morning. We finally have a nice white Christmas up here. Went for a short ride to check on trails. Was first one out on most trails so nice fresh powder today. Would like to ride more but have to shovel & clear snow all day. No complaints on trails except for scraping in a couple corners. Otherwise trails were good. As more sleds go on them, they will get more snirt and you will scrape more. Groomers should be able to work with this snow to smooth them out once they get bumpier with more traffic.  Majority of trails are good with some very good stretches, some fair areas and a couple poor spots (where there is logging going on or where you scrape ground). Most trails have a nice base and carbides have not scraped too much. There are some ruts that will get filled in as we get more snow. Road trails have an ice base and now have some snow on top. Lakes are getting some slushy areas coming through and it is freezing so a few more ruts to watch out for. Most lakes are now marked. Traffic will be light today but will get very busy starting tomorrow. So get out and enjoy the trails.

Note: We still have openings available for Christmas week up until January 2nd. Check with us for special rates.
